The mission of the DHF Riding School is to provide quality education to all riders, regardless of their current riding competency.
The pride of DHF Riding School is in its professional instructors, quality school horses, growing working student and internship programs, and continuing education for everyone. By applying the bio-mechanic methodology (Ride With Your Mind) of Mary Wanless, DHF instructors make improvements to the communication and skills of the horse and rider as a team. DHF has a stellar reputation for providing the finest care and educational opportunities for both their horse and human clientele as evidenced by the following:
- DHF instructors are guided by Jennifer Truett, DHF President and Head Instructor, and use classical training principles coupled with correct biomechanics
- Dedicated Manager of The Riding School, Sheila Wilson, who supports the DHF mission by providing a focused, regimented educational program for all equine and human students
- Professionally trained school horses ridden regularly by DHF staff
- Beginning through advanced levels of instruction offered in Dressage, Theory, and Eventing
- Guest Clinicians include the talents of Heather Blitz, Joan Bolton, Sandy Howard, Jane Savoie, Mary Wanless, and Linda Zang
- Shows sanctioned by TDC, MODA, DLSC, and MSEDA
- Show Coaching fosters competitor confidence
- DHF Instructors are available for Clinics, bringing the DHF educational philosophy to your farm
- Working Student positions provide in-depth experience to ambitious students

Jennifer Truett is President of Dancing Horse Farm, Inc. and with her wonderfully supportive hubby’s blessing, lives her dream every day. Jen loves learning, teaching and riding. She grew up showing Quarter Horses, converted to eventing and eventually found her heart’s desire in dressage. Jen has earned numerous individual competition high score awards, Regional and USDF Year End Championships with her various horses. She competed at the North American Young Rider’s Championships in the mid nineties and has aspirations to compete internationally again hopefully with her newest equine partner, Sunset N, who Jen found with Heather Blitz, in Denmark and just arrived in mid November. Jen was introduced to Mary’s techniques through a clinic hosted at DHF in November 2007 with Sandy Howard, USEF “S” judge and USDF “L” Faculty Member, and ever since has been a completely devoted teacher and follower of Mary’s Ride With Your Mind methodologies. |

Sheila Wilson (The DHF Riding School Manager) has a lifetime of experience breeding, training and showing horses, and running her family’s very busy and successful Arabian and National Show Horse breeding business. She is an event rider, active leader in an Indiana-based pony club, and loves teaching lessons and working with young horses.
