As the Founding Member of the “Jennifer Truett Fan Club” (a self-designated title, we assure you) Jennifer’s mother, Lynda Sappington, is now, and has always been, her biggest supporter. Lynda has always encouraged Jennifer to “Dare to Dream” and she has done the same for herself, expanding her art hobby into a successful business through which she has become a world-renowned equine sculptor doing original work and commissioned portraits as well as trophies. Some of her trophies include the top two trophies at the Palm Beach Dressage Derby. Two of her sculptures “live” in the USDF Headquarters, one in the Hall of Fame and the other as a perpetual trophy. Another of her sculptures is the World Champion Concours d’Elegance trophy for the Friesian Horse Association of North America (FHANA) and “lives” in their headquarters at the Kentucky Horse Park. Lynda is an Associate member of the American Academy of Equine Art and hosts the annual Dancing Horse Farm/Whimsy Hill Studio Equine Art Show in Lebanon each May. Jennifer’s parents have always been incredibly supportive and continue to serve as fantastic role models for Jennifer and Lenny on how to run successful businesses and well-managed farms. They have a 32 acre farm just west of Jennifer’s home town, New Lebanon, Ohio, where Lynda’s Quarter Horse gelding, Empowered for Time (“Jack”), who carried her to several championships on local open show circuits in hunt seat, is now enjoying a well-deserved retirement. Jack shares his pasture with Lynda’s wonderful half-Andalusian gelding, El Paso Aricos, who’s teaching her dressage (with Jennifer’s help). Lynda began showing Ricos in USDF shows in 2009.
